QUIZ queen Daphne Fowler has been busy putting her talents to use in the new BBC programme Eggheads.
Daphne, of Coniston Crescent, Weston, has 20 years experience on television shows and has won the grand final of 15 to 1 twice.
She was picked out to join a team of well-known quizzers, who are challenged each day by another team.
The 'Egghead' team also includes Judith Keppel, the very first winner on 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire', Chris Hughes, who won International Mastermind, Kevin Ashman, who achieved the highest score on Mastermind and writes the questions for Radio 4s Brain of Britain, and CJ De Mooi, a quiz fanatic.
The challengers can win £1,000 if they beat the Eggheads. But if the team is unsuccessful, the money rolls over until the next day.
Daphne has already recorded 30 programmes for the BBC and a second series looks likely to be commissioned soon.
Eggheads, presented by Dermot Murnaghan, will be on our screens at lunchtimes for six weeks, starting next month.
Daphne will be making a guest appearance when she sets and asks the questions at a fun quiz night at the Hornets Rugby Club in Hutton Moor Road on Sunday.
