A GRANDMOTHER from Weston-super-Mare has been crowned champion in a top TV quiz show.
Daphne Fowler won the grand final of Channel 4's Fifteen to One last Friday.
She has previously appeared on the Countdown quiz show as well as a number of other TV quiz shows.
Mrs Fowler was the Grand Final winner and also top of the finals for scoring most points.
It's the third time she has won top points award but the first time she has done the double.
Coincidentalty, Mrs Fowler's grand-daughter Gemma Hudson, aged 10, won the Sue Latham Comedy Cup at the Bristol Dance Eisteddfod.
The cup is given for the best character comedy performance of the week-long event which was held at Backwell School and is usually won by older competitors.
To win the award Gemma, who has been a pupil at the Tina Counsell School of Dance since she was aged three, performed a court jester routine.
Mrs Fowler said she sees Gemma going on to stardom with the same work ethic in the future.
She said: "We work hard. That's why we win."
